Join the Initiative
A pleasure shared is doubled,
and a burden shared is halved.
- Folk Proverb
The Independence Initiative is a private membership association centered in the greater Kansas City area, intended for people interested in the association's mission and vision.
Becoming a member means you have committed to declaring yourself as one willing to work toward the association's vision for yourself and its members — that of personal sovereignty in the areas of housing, nutrition, and manufacturing.
We are open to all backgrounds, ethnicities, faiths, political persuasions, etc.

Our declaration of God as the provider of our moral agency, our opportunities for growth, and of our wonderful, shared Earth includes any belief in a higher power or intelligence.

As did the American Founding Fathers, we proclaim a pluralistic society, striving for One Nation, Under God. All who are willing to align themselves with sound principles of liberty and self-government are welcome, including nonbelievers who live morally responsible, honorable lives.

Neither the fact of your membership nor any personal information you may share with us is ever made public.

Read the declaration below to see if you would find enrichment in taking this path with us.
A Personal Declaration of Independence
By joining, you declare your independence from negative pressures, and open yourself to positive opportunities.

Much in our modern world is designed to drag us down, causing us to feel trapped in a cycle of unhealthy ambition, division, anxiety, and depression. This is a racket, where negativity is carefully fed to us, and then we are offered solutions that promise relief, but only continue the need to engage in this cycle. This cycle does not benefit us, but only those who direct it.

Chiefly, what is taken from us is either money, or political power.
This racket, this "rat race," is only a cheap imitation of what is possible when the true value of human capital is unlocked, to benefit those who take greater responsibility for their own happiness.

In stark contrast, you can break free!
By finding greater personal and family fulfillment, you will enjoy greater liberty to associate with your neighbors in building genuine community.

Becoming self-reliant economically will not isolate you socially. Rather, it will open you to greater connections among your fellows. These connections can run as deeply as you find beneficial. Your membership will allow you to find greater strength in yourself, and to strengthen others.
You will open your view to see a greater vision of yourself, your family, your community, and your world. Imagine the possibilities!
