The Current Condition

Our Awful Situation

     With corporations and governments as the fundamental units of our society, and with money as the primary mediator and motivator, we see a steady and rapid increase in the following:

  • corruption

  • heavy consumerism

  • decreases in accountability

  • surveillance

  • censorship

  • propaganda

  • government overreach

  • oversimplification of political issues and the perpetuation of a single spectrum political dichotomy

  • compromised morality

  • fast fashion

  • planed obsolescence

  • long work weeks

  • glorification of corporate leadership and ladder climbing

  • vilification of homeschooling and stay at home parents (mothers or fathers)

  • smaller families, fewer families, less united families

  • encouraging and often demanding children make adult decisions or participate in adult situations

  • commoditization and objectification of people ex. pornography, sex trafficking, human trafficking, and the many forms of slavery

  • narrow specialization and fewer life skills

  • body dysphoria

  • anxiety, depression, and other psychological illness

  • conflation of sexual desires with gender and individual identity

  • addiction

  • delayed maturity and competence

  • inflation

  • mandatory insurance

  • vilification of alternative healthcare

  • career politics

  • lobbying

  • exploitation of the people and resources of other countries, sometimes by force

  • laws, code, & ordinances against self-reliance

  • bureaucracy

  • taxes

  • dependence on government aid

  • dependence on corporations for basic needs

  • group-think and decrease in independent thought

  • divisive language 

  • decreased creative ability

  • decreased vocabulary

  • dependence on digital information and AI

  • food deserts

  • decreased value of human & animal life

  • privacy erosion

  • 30 year mortgages with threats of 50 years

  • expensive housing

  • slum lords

  • carcinogenic substances and materials in homes and home goods

  • dangerous & unnecessary food ingredients

  • green-washing

  • shrinkflation

  • data mining

  • energy usage and cost of energy usage

  • glorification of extravagance & opulence

  • decrease in physical skills​

  • vilification of homemaking & homesteading

  • lost generational knowledge

  • poor treatment of the elderly

  • decrease in family heirlooms and generational wealth

  • mandatory smart device and social media usage

  • widening class divides

  • classism

  • religious favoritism from federal government

  • the erosion of religious freedom and free speech

  • unreasonable contracts, user agreements, and privacy policies

  • perpetuation of the multiple human races lie

  • socioeconomic discrimination

  • and on and on and on...
